MONDAY, AUGUST 31st - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2nd.
11am to 5pm: Race registration at Patagonia, 1048 Wisconsin Ave,
NW.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd.
11am to 5pm: Race registration at Patagonia.
4pm to 7pm: Open Forum to present CMWC 2000 proposals at Patagonia,
3rd floor conference room.
5pm to 7:30pm: Art Pavilion official opening at Gallery 1019,
1019 7th St, NW. Free entry for all
registered competitors. Cheese & crackers for
all.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th.
12pm to 7pm: Race registration at Gallery 1019. (final chance
to register!!!)
12pm to 7pm: Gallery 1019 open. Free entry for all registered
competitors.
6:30pm to 7:30pm: “SOLIDARITY RIDE”, group ride through city,
starts at Gallery 1019.
7:30pm to 12am: WORLD WELCOME PARTY at the Washington Yacht Club,
1500 M St, SE.
Free food and beer for all registered competitors.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th.
7am to 8am: Course set-up.
8am to 9am: Racecourse open for pre-riding by registered competitors.
9:30am to 11:30am: Cargo Race.
12pm to 6pm: Open Sprint Qualifications (individual time trials).
12pm to 4pm: Main Race. Heat #1. 2 riders every 30
seconds (paired time trials).
4pm on: Begin course clean up.
4:30pm to 6pm: Track Bike Skid & Stop Competitions (run simultaneously).
6pm to 6:30pm: Track Stand Competition.
6:30pm to 7pm: Clear/clean course.
12pm to 7pm: Art Pavilion open at Gallery 1019.
9pm to 2am: Courier bands at the Black Cat, 1841 14th St, NW.
Free entry for registered competitors.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th.
9am to 10am: Course set-up.
10am to 11:45am: Team Relay competition.
12pm to 4pm: Main Race. Heat #2. 2 riders every 30
seconds (paired time trials).
4pm on: Begin course clean up.
4:15pm to 4:35pm: Women’s Sprint Quarterfinals.
4:40pm to 5:30pm: Men’s Sprint Quarterfinals.
5:35pm to 5:45pm: Women’s Sprint Semi Finals.
5:50pm to 6:15pm: Men’s Sprint Semi Finals.
6:30pm to 8:30pm: Bunny Hop Competition.
8:30pm to 9pm: Clear/clean course.
12pm to 7pm: Art Pavilion open at Gallery 1019.
8pm Bands at Metro Cafe 1522 14th St NW
9pm to 11pm: BIKE COURIER FILM NIGHT at the AFI Theatre in the Kennedy
Center, New Hampshire Ave and Rock Creek Parkway, NW. Free entry
for all registered competitors (244 seat capacity).
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th.
11am to 11:30am Group photo in front of the Capitol Building, next
to the Grant Memorial at 1st and Penn Ave NW. All registered competitors
get a free copy of the group photo.
12pm to 1pm: Course set-up.
1:35pm to 1:45pm: Women’s Sprint Finals.
1:50pm to 2pm: Men’s Sprint Finals.
2:30pm to 5:30pm: Main Race Finals.
5:30pm to 6pm: Clear/clean course.
12pm to 7pm: Art Pavilion open at Gallery 1019.
5pm: Doors open at Capitol Ballroom, 1015 Half St, SE.
Free entry for all registered
competitors.
5pm to 7pm: Trials course open for pre-riding by registered competitors.
7pm to 9pm: Trials competition in the Capitol Ballroom.
9pm to 10pm: Awards ceremony.
10pm to 2am: Non-stop messenger bands.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th.
12pm to 5pm: Gallery 1019 open for artists to remove art work
from gallery.
12pm to 6pm: Open Forum to make final decisions on CMWC 2000
proposals at Patagonia,
3rd floor conference room.
6:30pm to 8:30pm: Second screening of Bike Courier Films at AFI
Theatre. Open to public.
$6.50 cover charge.
