Press Conference, 'Debut, map of the Championships,' 
Press conference to be held on July 29 in Washington DC at 10:30am. 

The official press conference for the 1998 Cycle Messenger World Championships will be held  on July 29 in Washington, DC at the Patagonia store at 1048 Wisconsin Av NW.  The Conference is sponsored by the District of Columbia Bicycle Messenger Association which is an advocacy group that seeks to fulfill three objectives with the realization of the CMWC '98: 

1.  Realize a CMWC for 1998 in Washington DC, which will take place September 4 - 7 1998. 
2.  Encourage camaraderie amongst the world's cycle messengers. 
3.  To encourage the use of the bicycle as serious transportation and a tool of commerce. 

The Conference will begin with the announcement of particulars concerning the race/festival by by key organizers and representatives from local bicycle messenger companies..  They will delineate the shape that this championships will take.  Panelists will also discuss some of the circumstances that have shaped the CMWC into a truly unique event.  Following the addresses of panel members there will be time for the showing of a video that will show past championships of Berlin, London, Toronto, and San Francisco.  Finally there will be an opportunity for members of the media to have their questions answered.
