| | listen y'all. i want to clear the air on this cause i may very well be the |
| | reason mike dee got fired, and i don't mind saying so. |

| | on sunday, when saturdays results were put out, mike came to me to ask why |
| | he had been disqualified, which is not what it said on the list, it merely |
| | said to see me. i attempted to explain that cursing at volunteers is an |
| | absolute no no at a cmwc, and he proceeded to curse at me at stormed off. |
| | |
| | then this kozmo sponsor type guy whom i dont know, but apearently was there |
| | representing kozmo corporate, came to me for an explantation and we talked |
| | for about 10 minutes about how hard it was to put on a cmwc and how |
| | important the image of messengers was to our industry and community and how |
| | volunteers were frequently from outside the community and needed to be |
| | treated properly and how a good deal of press was present and other sponsors |
| | and that the event as a whole and our community as a whole was much more |
| | important than any one of us. we didnt talk specifically about mike dee at |
| | all till the end. |

| | he said he thought he understood, but that as a big sponsor he thought he |
| | had a right to have mike dee reinserted into the race. i said he clearly |
| | didnt understand. i was also a fairly big sponsor and if that had been one |
| | of my riders, they would have been kicked off my team and fired from my |
| | company before they made it back to dc. then he said he thought he |
| | understood and shooked my hand and walked off. |

| | it is my guess, but i certainly dont know for sure cause i didnt follow up |
| | in any way because i could care less about who works at kozmo ny, that the |
| | representative from kozmo took what i said to heart and had mike dee fired. |

| | if have a good deal of friends in the ny messenger community, and it is my |
| | sincere hope that as a group they are able to seperate themselves from the |
| | detrimental antics of an individual. we fight constantly here in dc to |
| | demonstrate ourselves as a community of professionals, and i understand the |
| | divisivness that a single loud individual can cause. it is difficult to look |
| | at your friends and say youre acting like a 10 year old with an exagerated |
| | vocabulary and you need to shut up. ny is bidding for a world championship |
| | right now. its a very large city with a heck of a lot of messengers. you all |
| | need to come together as a single unit to put on a cmwc, and thats going to |
| | mean knowing when to reign in your friends. |
