Twenty eight starters braved the cold, not to mention some frozen volunteers, for this "thinking messenger's" race. The most efficient routes won the race, and if you don't know where Banneker Park is located, well lets just say directions are for rookies. Corey Twyman took first place and Top Woman Lisa Martin finished second overall. Jason Stevenson won three out of four "first to checkpoint" primes, sharing some of his glory with visiting Londoner, Greg, until Greg's flat left Jason to finish solo in 4th place overall. Jim and Pete drove down from Toronto to race only to not finish due to extreme navigational failure. They made up for it at the party later on. You may remember Jim serving cookies. John Kenda returned to DC as well and took some glory with him back to his new home in Denver. He finished third.
